Royal deals from the receiver

Receiver Kieran Wallace is selling off the last few houses and apartments in two Dublin commuter belt developments in Meath, the Royal County, with some prices cut as low as €125,000.

In the Inse Bay development in Laytown (left) , which is serviced by the Dart line, the last four houses, consisting of two-bedroom semi-detached and one detached house of 86sqm, are selling for €150,000.

Accommodation includes an open plan living room, kitchen and dining room. The two double bedrooms are ensuite.Laytown beach is a short walk away.

All of the other homes in the development have been sold. At the peak of the boom the houses sold for €280,000.

Further inland in Segrave Square (right)near Ashbourne Town Centre, two-bedroom apartments of 75sqm are selling for €125,000.

Only five of 41 units in the project are unsold. Segrave Square is located on Castle Street just a stone's throw from Ashbourne Town Centre where there are a range of amenities to meet a purchaser's needs.Each apartment is finished to a high standard, wired for multi-room audio/TV and comes with a C3 energy rating.
