A second release of five-bed semi-detached homes has come on stream at Roseland, Cualanor, on the seaward side of the old Dun Laoghaire Golf Club. The golf course, built in 1910, was bought by The Cosgrave Group in 2002.
The Cosgraves are building Cualanor on the site, located off Upper Glenageary Road and beside the suburb's bowling club. It is close to Honeypark, another new Cosgrave development.
Ultimately, there will be 175 units at Cualanor, including a series of apartments to the front of the scheme. Cualanor already has a dedicated 6.5ac woodland park, a playground, and a large green space with seating laid out as an amphitheatre. The entire area has already been fully landscaped.
The first section of Cualanor, or 90 homes, is known as Roseland. The initial 30 houses in the section were released for sale in May and have all been sold.
A second tranche, made up of 20 homes, are now being put on the market. These properties, which belong to The Alder house type, have five bedrooms, though one of the bedrooms could be used as a study. The Alder has a floor area of 2,206 sq ft and prices are unchanged since the May release, starting at €715,000.
The A-rated Roseland properties feature a heat recovery ventilation system that purges excess humidity and allows cool air to enter during the summer months. The high levels of insulation and the argon-filled glazing keeps the heat in during the winter. Outside, there is a charge point for an electric car.
Viewings of the showhouse will take place tomorrow and Sunday, between 2.30pm and 4pm.
