Roll down to Bray to see the old and new meet
Wyvern Terrace, Bray, Co Wicklow

Wyvern Terrace is a grouping of 17 large five-bedroom homes designed by architects Colm O'Broin & Partners. They incorporate both Victorian style two-storey-over-basements and a contemporary 'round' house over three storeys. One each of this style is being brought to market now which in some ways reflects 'old' and 'new' Bray.
Measuring c. 2,800 sq ft and priced from €595,000-€675,000, these ex-Nama properties are fully fitted out with kitchens from Leinster Kitchen Studios' custom-designed collection (with soft close drawers and pull out baskets), quartz worktops and a range of Neff integrated appliances. There are two sets of French doors out to the back garden which has been landscaped.
Houses are finished in an off-white render with white trim with inset windows, porticos and raised plinths. Use is made of ironmongery on balustrades.
The period detailing on the 'traditional' design house is understated but the interior is plush, from Helen Turkington Interiors. There is an American white oak staircase intersecting the property with the bedrooms spread over the upper two floors.
The 'round house', or as the agent prosaically puts it, "J style", is also three storey. At ground level are three bedrooms, all en-suite, a guest WC and a family room. On the first level is the kitchen/dining area, with utility room off, and a living room along with a substantial terrace.
Up top are two further bedrooms, both en-suite with a walk-in wardrobe. It is unusual to have curved walls and I expect they will pose challenges in terms of window treatments but once you get over the living-in-a-lighthouse effect, it is a most interesting design. Viewing is by appointment.
