Peek inside former Irish rugby star Shane Horgan’s family home in Meath on the market for €459k
Former Irish International Shane Horgan has placed his family home in Bellewstown on the market for €459k.
Tara, the Meath home in which he and sister, Catastrophe star Sharon Horgan, spent their childhoods is on the market as their parents hope to downsize.
The four-bedroom property was purchased by the famous siblings’ parents after moving back to Ireland in 1978.
The detached-house sits on 3.5acres of land, with lovingly maintained rear and front gardens and makes for an easy commute to Dublin thanks to the M1.
The largely open plan interior has both a sitting room and a family room, as well as a large kitchen.
Shane, who retired from rugby in 2012, is currently training as a lawyer in London, while actress Sharon’s successful Channel 4 series Catastrophe has been renewed for a third season.
In a statement released with her co star Rob Delaney, Sharon said: Speaking about the renewal, Horgan and Delaney said in a statement: “We are thrilled to be making a third series of Catastrophe. Rob and Sharon are a blast to spend time with.
“And we’re not talking about ourselves in the third person, we’re talking about the characters. We're eager to breathe life back into Rob and Sharon. Okay, now we are talking about us.”
They added: “We’re looking forward to putting Rob and Sharon.”
The Horgan's property, Tara, is on the market through local agent Smith Harrington.
