Mixed results at auction

There were mixed results for Lisney's auction of five Dublin southside houses on Wednesday.

One sold under the hammer, Springfield House, Lower Albert Road, Glenageary.

This four-bedroom period detached property which had a floor area of 192sqm sold for €725,000 which was €125,000 over its AMV.

Two adjoining period terraced properties in Ranelagh Village sold prior to auction for in the region of their asking prices of €600,000 each. Both seven-bedroom houses , 84 Ranelagh Village has a 215sqm floor area and 86 Ranelagh Village has a 200sqm floor area.

Prospective buyers of a three-bedroom detached bungalow at 28 Woodlawn Park, Churchtown, Dublin 14, sat on their hands at the auction and so it was withdrawn.

The agents subsequently received an offer below the €525,000 AMV for the 94sqm property with its extensive rear garden but no deal was done.

In Stillorgan village, a two-bedroom end-of-terrace house of 78sqm failed to attract a bid. It had an AMV of €225,000.

Located at 71 Lower Kilmacud Road, it is now available with an asking price of €255,000.
