Singer Lisa Stansfield has reduced the price of her Dalkey house by €1.4m. to €6m. Mount Henry, Torca Road, Dalkey, sits on c. 0.7 acre of private gardens with uninterrupted views across Killiney Bay towards Co Wicklow - panoramic vistas inspirational enough to spur on any artist to create.

Its often said when it comes to buying property that you have to be prepared to compromise. In other words, you can't have everything. This fabulous 511 sqm, 19th century luxurious house makes a very good stab at dispelling that myth.

Maintaining many original features, the property comprises four/five receptions rooms, six bedrooms and three bathrooms. Close to Dalkey Hill and Victoria Park, it's a short drive to Dalkey Village and just 14km from the city centre.

The accommodation is split over three levels. The ground floor features the drawing room (11.0m x 8.62m) with its deep bay windows and views over Killiney Bay. The TV/family room boasts a raised fireplace, and an impressive dining room with mirrored ceiling.

The kitchen (5.28m x 4.4m) has been fitted with extensive oak cupboards -- patio doors lead from the kitchen to the paved terrace area. This floor also accommodates a study, cloakroom and utility room.

It's claimed the kitchen is the heart of the home, but with a master bedroom this breathtaking, it again challenges another clich. Sitting on the first floor, the room (11.28m x 4.17m) is lit by floor-to-ceiling, wall-to-wall picture bay windows. It also features a built-in kitchenette and dressing area. And those who like to create and be inspired whilst bathing can sit in the Jacuzzi bath in the 4.52m x 4.11m ensuite bathroom, which also affords breathtaking vistas.

It's not surprising, with such inspirational scenery on the doorstep, that a studio and sound room have been built at garden level -- an example of the extensive renovations the award-winning singer, who is planning on spending more time abroad, carried out over the years. This floor also boasts a computer room, kitchen and TV room.

A two-storey coach house with two garages underneath and studio apartment completes the property. Call Knight Frank Ganly Walters on 01 662 3255.
