Killiney cottage with Dublin Bay views

Killiney Hill Cottages is a terrace of seven very pretty 19th century redbrick houses at Killiney Hill Road, close to the park and with sea views.
Number 1, at the top of the terrace, is not quite as dainty as it looks, having been extended by its previous owners to 1,227 sq ft. It has also been refurbished by its current owners, which is just as well because the cottages are Dun Laoghaire Rathdown county council's list of protected structures, so any renovation plans would be severely curtailed.
On the ground floor of the cottage there's a fitted kitchen and dining room measuring roughly 20ft by 18ft, with a tiled floor and doors to the garden.
There are also two bedrooms and a shower room on this level.
There living room is upstairs in the gallery landing, and has a wooden floor and a fireplace. Four steps lead from here up to the master bedroom, which has a wood-floored en-suite with a bath.
There are small gardens front and back, including a landscaped rockery garden and a raised blue deck backing onto part of the stone archway and gate lodge that's now a house by the name of Camelot.
There are very good views of Dublin Bay from here.
If you turn right at the front gate and amble up the hill for about a minute you'll come to one of the entrances to Killiney Hill Park. With no off-street parking and double yellow lines outside the house, this is possibly not a house for car owners.
The Dart station at Killiney, though, is about 15 minutes' walk away, and the Number 59 bus stops just up the street.
Number 1 Killiney Hill Cottages is for sale with Turley Property Advisors on (01) 479 1500 and has an asking price of €630,000.
