Just showhouse left from sold out phase
22 Castleway, Kinsealy, Co Dublin
The first phase of Castleway, an upmarket scheme of four-bed, two-storey detached family homes on Kinsealy Lane near Malahide Village, has sold out for all but one - a showhouse priced at €775,000.
Before 22 Castleway is snapped up, the developer of the scheme, Carroll Estates (Dublin) Ltd, plans to use the property to market Hazelbrook, a 40-unit development of four-bed detached and semi-detached homes it is building nearby, according to the selling agent.
Some of those new homes, scheduled to be completed in April or May, are already selling off the plans. The detached units will cost from €729,000, while the semi-detached versions will be priced from €550,000.
The remaining home at Castleway is pretty spacious, at 1,814 sq ft. It has a double-fronted exterior finished in red multi-stock brick and cream render with a pitched roof. The front door and window surrounds are a fashionable slate grey.
Inside, the sense of space at 22 Castleway is enhanced by a staircase situated in the centre of the house, with the four bedrooms and main bathroom upstairs set in a square around the landing of the staircase.
The fitted wardrobes in the bedrooms, two of which are ensuite, come from Bedroom Elegance.
Downstairs, there is a large entrance hall with a storage closet and guest toilet, as well as a living room, a dining room, both of which have coving.
Double patio doors lead out from the contemporary European-style McNally kitchen/ breakfast room on to the back garden.
Also on the ground floor is a utility room and another room that can be used as a study or playroom. There is enough parking space for two cars on the paved drive to the front of the house.
The home has been fitted with EcoTherm double-glazed sealed aluminium windows and there is a gas-fired condenser boiler for heating, both of which contribute to the property's 'A' energy efficiency rating.
Number 22 Castleway is about 2.4km from Malahide Marina, 5km from Portmarnock and 7.7km from Dublin Airport. Malahide Castle and its extensive grounds and parkland is less than a 30 minute walk.
Dublin City Centre is 13km away and can be reached by the Dart station at Malahide or the five Dublin Bus routes serving the village.
