Families that buy one of the eight four and five-bed homes launching this weekend at St David's Court in Artane won't have too far to go for a local secondary school: the new development was originally part of the grounds of neighbouring St David's CBS.
The enclave is nestled in a quiet suburban setting off the Malahide Road and is on the doorstep of St David's Park, home to the Artane Band, the marching band that performs at Croke Park. The homes are all currently under construction and scheduled to be completed by the end of October.
This scheme consists of two detached five-beds, two semi-detached five-beds, and four four-bed semi-detached dwellings. There are large gardens and patios to the rear and enough parking space in the front cobble-lock driveways for two cars. The four-beds, which extend to 1,504 sq ft, are priced from €500,000. The semi-detached five-bed homes measure 1,871 sq ft and cost from €575,000. The detached version is the same size but is priced from €585,000.
The four-beds, which have a pitched roof, are laid out over two floors. On entering, the living room is off the hall and this is separated from the open-plan kitchen/dining area by a walk-in storage area and a utility room off the kitchen. There is also a guest WC on this floor. Upstairs, the master bedroom, which comes with an ensuite, is to the front of the house. There are three other bedrooms on this level, as well as a family bathroom.
Accommodation at the five-bed detached homes is spread out over three floors, with a single dormer window protruding from the roof of the exterior.
The homes were designed to have an A3 BER, with an A-class air-to-water heating system providing energy-efficient central heating and hot water, reducing utility bills for would-be residents.
St David's Court is 100m from Artane Castle Shopping Centre and 2.5km from the seafront at Clontarf. Numerous bus routes serve the area, as does the Dart rail service from both Clontarf and Killester.
Viewing is by appointment only.
