Johnny Depp places his 37-acre French estate on the market for €23m
Pirates of the Caribbean actor Johnny Depp is to sell his extensive French estate which he shared with his ex Vanessa Pardis for fourteen years.
The actor has placed the 37-acre property on the market and is hoping to fetch €23m for the French estate and its contents.
Depp and Pardis spent more than a decade in the St. Tropez home and extensively renovated its interior. The actor is said to be keen to “close the chapter” on his life with Pardis who he split from in 2012.
The home includes a church which Depp converted into a guesthouse complete with transformed wardrobes which were once confessionals.
The property also is fitted with two swimming pools, a fully equipped gym and a skate park constructed for Depp’s children Jack and Lily-Rose.
"Johnny has decided to sell the Plan de la Tour property to close this chapter of his life and move on," Alexander Kraft, head of Sotheby's International Realty France which is handling the sale, wrote in a description of the estate.
"He decorated everything, paying attention to the smallest detail, in a 'Bohemian' or 'artistic' style and the property is being sold with all its contents, books, DVDs, furniture and some works of art," he said.
The main house measures 4,300sq ft and houses five bedrooms, three bathrooms and Depp’s art studio where he demonstrated his passion for painting throughout his years there.
The estate also comes with some pretty A list neighbours, as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie own a property just thirty miles east, where they married in 2014.
The Edward Scissorhands star recently married Amber Heard, who is 23 year his junior but rumours of a split have been circling less than six months after their wedding.
