Ashfield, the final phase of the Ridgewood estate in Swords, will wrap up nearly two decades of development at the scheme.
Ridgewood has been built with families in mind: it is laid out with landscaped open spaces, seven playing pitches, two children's playgrounds and many retail units nearby.
The scheme, located on the Forest Road, between Swords Village and Forrest Little Golf Club, is close to childcare facilities and within walking distance of primary and secondary schools.
MKN Property Group, the family building firm that launched the Seascape apartments in Clontarf in 2015 and the nearby Churchfield apartments and houses last month, first commenced building at Ridgewood in the late 1990s. A series of phases followed, including The Cedars, The Oaks, The Elms - names that were all inspired by the mature trees that line the avenues and open spaces throughout the development.
The traditional-style houses in the newest tranche at Ridgewood are the largest of their type throughout the entire estate. Ashfield will consist of 173 two, three, four and five-bed houses on a 14ac site when it is complete. The first 35 houses, most of which are three and four-bed semi-detached homes, were released to the market on September 24 and 20 of the homes were booked during the first two weekends.
There are still some three-beds available at Ashfield. Each of these measures 1,254 sq ft, has a front driveway with parking space for two cars and comes with a private rear garden. Prices for these semi-ds range from €325,000 to €337,000.
There is also one terraced three-bed remaining, at €310,000, as well as three of the four-bed 1,410-sq ft semi-detached style, which has extra-large gardens and costs from €385,000.
All of the new homes feature floor and wall tiling, kitchens and fitted wardrobes as standard. The kitchen appliances can be included if contracts are exchanged early.
The new homes at Ridgewood are near the Holy Family national schools, and the Loreto College and Colaiste Choilm CBS secondary schools. Access to the M1 and M50 is nearby, as are stops for the 41C, 102 and Swords Express bus routes.
The show houses at Ashfield are open from 2pm-4pm tomorrow and Sunday.
