There's far more to Malahide in North County Dublin than the sea, sailing and pretty boutique shops.
For example, Malahide Castle and its demesne happens to be one of Dublin's most popular weekend day trip attractions for families with its restored gardens, activities, playgrounds, tours and a constant run of interesting events.
