The Cosgrave Group is this weekend launching a new block of two-bed apartments at its Bracken Park development in Castleknock.
The 27-strong block called Garryknock is aptly named after the former Garryknock gardens on the Carpenterstown Road.
At four storeys, this is the third and final phase to be built on this site, which retains some of the century-old trees from the original Garryknock estate. The landscaped parkland setting is also home to the four and five-bed homes the Cosgraves are finishing at Bracken Park.
Like the rest of Bracken Park, Garryknock is on the doorstep of the 1,752ac Phoenix Park, yet is relatively close to the city centre, which is 7km away. Most of the units measure between 753 sq ft and 850 sq ft, with prices ranging from €260,000 to €335,000.
The Cosgraves, which pride themselves on installing energy-efficient features in their developments, have installed a Prepago system, which will allow residents of the A-rated apartments to switch their heating on and off via a smartphone app while they are on the move. There is also a GoCar car hire facility at the development.
Potential buyers at Garryknock who commute can walk the half mile to the Coolmine Train Station on the Dublin-to-Maynooth line or get on to the M50 or N3 at the Navan Road junction, which is less than a mile away. The No37 bus goes to St Stephen's Green from the Carpenterstown Road Shopping Centre. Viewings today from 12pm-2pm, and tomorrow and Sunday from 2.30pm-4pm.
