Four on the market: near a Dublin city golf course

For golfing enthusiasts, here's a choice of four properties close to a golf course.
Aldington, Hainault Road, D18
€2.5m Lisney Leeson Street (01) 638 2700
From Aldington, it's about a kilometre down the road to Foxrock Golf Club, where full membership costs €10,000. If that's a little too steep, Leopardstown Golf Centre is only 500m away, and green fees there are €15. Aldington is a rambling detached house of 5,005 sq ft. It has four en-suite bedrooms on the first floor and a fifth at attic level. On the ground floor is the drawing room, dining room and family room, all with fireplaces and stoves. The kitchen/dining room is 755 sq ft and has French doors to the patio.
40 Oakdene, Killiney, Co Dublin
€695k Felicity Fox (01) 633 4431
Oakdene estate is in a U-shaped cul de sac off Ballinclea Road in Killiney, about eight minutes' walk from Killiney Golf Club. Number 40 looks modest from the front but conceals 2,196 sq ft of accommodation, with five bedrooms on the first floor (one en-suite). Downstairs there's a family room to the left of the entrance hall, and to the right, a long sitting room with an open fire and sliding doors to a garden room. The dining area opens into a square kitchen with a utility room off it. The back garden has two patios.
30 Hollystown Park, Hollystown
€435k DNG Phibsboro (01) 830 0989
Hollystown Golf Club opened in the 1990s to provide "championship golf at reasonable prices". Full membership is €795 a year. Number 30 Hollystown Park overlooks the golf course. This is a detached dormer bungalow with three bedrooms upstairs, including the en-suite master with a golf viewing balcony. The fourth bedroom downstairs could be used as a reception room. Also on the ground floor are a living room with French doors to the front, a dining room, and a kitchen and breakfast room with doors to the garden.
45 Nutley Lane, Donnybrook, D4
€1.3m DNG Central (01) 679 4088
Elm Park Golf Club is not accepting applications for membership at present, but applicants are advised to check again at the beginning of next month. Across the street from the entrance to the club is 45 Nutley Lane, a four-bedroom detached house in need of some cosmetic work. It has two main reception rooms on the ground floor, as well as a kitchen, family room and sunroom, which future owners will almost certainly knock into an open-plan arrangement. There's also a large and pretty back garden.
