Irish soccer hero Niall Quinn and his wife Gillian have sold their six-bedroom home in County Kildare after dropping at least 300k from the original asking price.
The property was originally placed on the market for €2.25m in 2014, but the asking price dropped to 1.95m earlier this summer.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City footballer (49) and his wife decided to downsize two years ago.
"It was a fantastic house for us 10 years ago when we were raising the kids and we had a clatter of horses and ponies and dogs but all of those facilities are surplus to our requirements," Gillian told the Herald in 2014.
"It just makes sense to downsize. It's been coming for a while. Aisling our daughter has moved out. She is in UCD every day and she will be travelling during the summer.
"Niall is away in the UK doing his media work and in Africa a lot. It's just myself and (my son) Mikey and my Dad rattling around here a lot of the time," she said.
"And the number one man in my life, my stallion, has retired to stud now. We're empty."
The 33-acre estate is an equestrian dreamland, boasting ten stables, a horse walker, all-weather arena and a riding trail.
The Naas base also has its own bar, an outdoor hot tub and a barn.
