Estate agents fine tune their prices

Estate agents continue to fine tune asking prices -- even after they launch second-hand houses.
Consequently anyone who compares the prices being asked for houses in our On View column today with the initial prices when they first featured in the column will find that some have increased and others have fallen.
For instance, 7 Cloister Green, Blackrock, Co Dublin is now asking €495,000 -- down from its previous price of €525,000 and 12 Granville Close, Cabinteely has seen its asking price reduced from €475,000 to €449,500.
Also down in price are the new two bedroom houses at Oakland, Tyrellstown, Dublin 15 where they are now starting at €240,000 compared to €245,000.
Upward adjustments of €5,000 are also seen in the cheapest houses in new developments at Ballynakelly, Newcastle, Co Dublin and Hazelwood, Celbridge, Co Kildare.
