Competitively priced four-beds a big draw in Westmeath

After the last of the 18 three-bed townhouses launched last year at Cluain Mullan was sold, developer Thomas Kelly & Sons set about building a new four-bed house type at the Castlepollard development.
These four semi-detached family homes have now been released at the Finea Road scheme, though there is the potential for more in the same style to be built at a later stage. The 1,135 sq ft homes each cost €135,000.
Building at Cluain Mullan first began in 2007, at the peak of the property market. After the downturn took hold, the site was closed off. Thomas Kelly & Sons bought the site in 2014 and the first unit constructed by the new builder went on the market in February 2015.
All of the four-beds overlook a large green. They have yellow exteriors, timber front doors and side gates, and double-glazed windows. Inside, the sitting room has a feature limestone fireplace with a solid fuel stove. Double doors lead from there to the kitchen/dining room which, in turn, has double-glazed patio doors opening on to the back garden.
Upstairs, there are built-in wardrobes in the master ensuite bedroom and one of the three other bedrooms. Additional finishes include Regency-style doors and moulded skirting and architraves. The homes have a BER of B2 courtesy of features such as solar panels and uPVC double-glazed windows, sliding doors and front door.
Cluain Mullan is within walking distance of two primary schools and the centre of the town. Castlepollard can be used as a base for commuters to Mullingar, Athlone and Galway. Dublin is an hour's drive away.
