A new phase at this development of three-bed semi-detached homes in Gorey is firmly aimed at catering to the growing appetite among commuters to Dublin for affordable homes, with prices at the north Co Wexford scheme starting at just €185,000.
Recent improvements to the N11 has cut journey times to the capital, prompting bargain-hunting commuters to take a closer look at property in Gorey. The town is also served by a rail station.Development at Hunters Green may have stalled towards the end of the boom, but the first six houses in this new phase have already been finished, with another six under construction. The properties are scheduled to officially launch later this month.
About 12 more houses, this time a mix of three-bed semis and two and three-bed terraced homes, are due to be completed early in the New Year. The developer has planning for 58 dwellings in total at Hunters Green.
The development is being built by James Millar Developments, which is also responsible for other schemes in the town, including Pearsons Brook, Borleigh Court, Creagh Woods and Twin Oaks.
The newest crop of three-beds at Hunters Green measure 968 sq ft. While prices for numbers 11 to 14 Hunters Green cost €185,000, numbers 10 and 15 are priced at €195,000 as they are corner properties. The homes will have fully fitted cream high-gloss kitchens, a stove and marble fireplace in the living room, and south-facing rear private garden. The properties have an A3 energy rating, courtesy of triple glazing and solar panels.
Hunters Green is only a few minutes' walk from the centre of Gorey and a two-minute drive from junction 23 on the M11 motorway.
