Classrooms on their way to Clancy Quay

The developers of Clancy Quay in Islandbridge in Dublin 8 look set to be the latest to cash in on the flood of foreign students. It has asked Dublin City Council for permission to replace 30 out of 732 apartments at its development with 10 classrooms, a computer lab, a library and an exam centre.
A similar switch was also seen last year when Frank Gilmore revamped his designs for his development in Glenageary, Co Dublin.
Former Irish international footballer Kevin Moran is involved in Clancy Quay through his shareholding in the project management company Formation Group.
