Bray has seen an uplift in building activity so it's good to see another addition to the family homes market at Lyndhurst on Herbert Road which adjoins the existing Pemberton development and is parallel to Killarney Road and the main street. The strand and Bray Head are 2km to the east.
Built by Knockree Properties, these 26 houses will be a mix of three- and four-bedroom semi-detached units which will be on view for the first time this weekend.
Buyers can go with the show house finish or select their own. Additionally, the developer is offering an option on internal layout also and this is a welcome choice for very little effort on the builder's part, but which families really appreciate. The show house's interior designer is also being made available to buyers who can avail of their services for a fee.
They will range in size from 1,540-1,702 sq ft and have (in the show house at least) an open plan kitchen/dining/living area with French doors leading out to the rear garden. There is a utility room off this with a guest WC and a separate sitting room (again, this can be reconfigured). Kitchens are from Kerwood Kitchens and feature handle-less cabinets. All appliances are included.
There is a double-height hall with Velux windows on the ceiling of the landing, giving light and space to the transition area. On the return are large picture windows. The master bedroom (which has an en-suite) is to the front, overlooking a landscaped green area while the other two or three bedrooms are to the rear.
A Stira stairs has been fitted to the attic allowing 'future proofing' in terms of later conversion if required.
Exteriors are red brick to the front and part of the side, with grey matt window surrounds and front door which has a side full-length glass window.

Eight of the units will be ready for occupation by the end of the summer with the remainder following by year-end. Bray is a well populated and popular area, well served by train (DART) and bus links. The N11 runs from it in both directions with the M50 access beside the village.
