Celeb lawyer Gerald Kean's former mansion on sale for €6m
Celebrity lawyer Gerald Kean's former home in Killiney is up sale for €6m.
Nestled in the heart of the exclusive southside enclave which is home to Ireland's super-rich, Dunmara on Strand Road was where he lived with former wife Clodagh Hopkins.
Solicitor Hopkins, who has her own practice, is selling the property after living in it with daughter Kirsten for 23 years.
The six-bedroomed property could make the ideal bolt-hole for a privacy- conscious celeb. It is expected to attract considerable interest from overseas.
Covering an area of 436 square metres and with extensive views over Killiney Bay, the three-storey property is a protected structure and comes with more than an acre of grounds with direct access to the beach.
The house has en-suite bedrooms, generous dining and living rooms and a rear decked balcony.
It also comes with a study, complete with mahogany bookshelves, as well as a bar and a gym with floor-to-ceiling mirrors.
As well as manicured lawns, it has a tennis court and a cinema room which was converted from a stone boathouse.
Kean (inset) bought the house in 1992 for a reported £300,000 and it has been extensively expanded over the years. He and Hopkins were married in 1986 and split in 2004.
