These two remaining four-bed bungalows in the second phase of Sleepy Hollow in Malahide will appeal to seaside-loving house-hunters with a keen eye for sharp angles and a penchant for housing estates with quirky names.
The bungalows have an unusual slanted roof with Tegral slates, complemented by red brick on the front walls and a Monocouche pre-coloured render finish to the sides. The houses are priced from €680,000 and measure 1,728 sq ft in size.
The two properties are among the 22 residences developed by CE Cladewell Estates as part of the final phase at the scheme, located just off Kinsealy Lane in Malahide. Inside, the houses have an open-plan kitchen/dining/family room with units by Kitchen Elegance, a range of appliances, and Velstone counter-tops. There is a utility room off this area, a separate living room, and a main bathroom in the hall.
The star attraction in the living room is a bespoke Lamartine fireplace mantle with a Clandon frame in solid Turkish limestone, complete with a black granite inset and hearth. The fireplace has an Evonic Tiago electric inset fire with an Optiflame effect.
Down the hall are the four bedrooms, two of which are en-suite, and a master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe. The solid oak wardrobes with soft-close hinges and drawers in the bedrooms are from Aspekt Furniture. Solar panels and heat recovery ventilation systems have contributed to the bungalows' all-important A3 energy rating.
The front and rear gardens are levelled and seeded, with panel fencing separating the properties. Corrib paving has been laid in the driveways and there are low-level shrubbery surrounds.
