Brookwood spans the centuries with a mix of old and new

The exterior of Brookwood's four and five-bed homes are a nod to the 1940s, with a red-brick arched portico and tri-panelled windows echoing the originals you'd find in Drumcondra and other mid-20th century suburbs of Dublin.
Yet inside, the houses are truly 21st century, with contemporary finishes and a BER of A3.
All five of these properties from Barina New Homes are now complete. There are two four-bed semi-detached homes that measure 1,883 sq ft and cost from €750,000, and three five-bed detached dwellings that extend to 2,152 sq ft and are priced from €955,000.
The four-beds are laid out over three stories, while the five-beds have two floors. The four-bed has a living room to the front, as well as a kitchen/diner with utility and a guest WC on the ground floor. Three bedrooms are on the first floor, one of which is ensuite.
A fourth bedroom - the master - is on the top floor. The bedroom wardrobes are a contemporary shaker style with chrome handles and an oak carcass.
The five-bed style has two reception rooms and an extensive kitchen/dining/sitting room to the rear. Upstairs are five bedrooms and a set of pull-down steps that lead to the attic, which is floored and insulated. Brookwood is within walking distance from Castleknock Village and close to Blanchardstown, the Phoenix Park, the M50/N3, and well-known schools such Castleknock College and Mount Sackville.
Viewings at Brookwood will be held between 12pm-2pm tomorrow and Sunday.
