Newberry House and Stud is a late 19th century home set on 170acres close to Kilcullen in Co Kildare.
The stud is famous for producing winning racehorses including grade one winners Key Change, Winona and Namid, as well as Redstone Dancer, Snaefell and Noelani. The house was originally known as Carnalway House, built by the Tikel family that owned more than 2,000 acres in the area. The Clague family has owned the house for 35 years.
The house is at the centre of the estate and approached by a driveway that meanders past post and railed paddocks.
The house boasts traditional features such as shuttered windows and wood paneled walls, and modern attractions including an indoor heated swimming pool and a games room.
The ground floor of the 8,000sq ft (743sqm) house includes the entrance hall, study, drawing room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, office, billiards room and swimming pool area.
Upstairs, there are three en suite bedrooms in the main house, three more bedrooms in one wing and two bedrooms and a bathroom in the children's wing.
Outside, Newberry House has two garages and a farm office area with tool shed and vet examination area.
The stud's main yard contains a foaling box, eight stables and a seated viewing area complete with pagoda. The barn area contains eight loose boxes, two stallion boxes and a hay barn.
Staff accommodation is in the two-bedroom gate lodge, a four-bedroom manager's house, a three-bedroom yard flat and a two-bedroom house in the yearling yard.
Bounded by the Liffey, the grounds of Newberry Stud feature Japanese gardens with a water garden and footbridge, as well as a walled garden with pond and gazebo and extensive lawns.
