The second phase of Ard Uisce - the first new release of homes in Wexford Town since the property crash - is bound to attract serious interest from first-time buyers, especially since prices start at an affordable €185,000.
There are 30 properties available in the latest tranche at the scheme, which is located on Whiterock Hill, overlooking Wexford Harbour.
Sizes range from 1,100 sq ft to 1,464 sq ft, depending on the option chosen - as well as six three-bed semi-detached homes, there are 24 properties available in a variety of styles, including a four-bed detached house type.
Some 72 properties were built at Ard Uisce by 2009 before the developer, Dan Morrissey from Enniscorthy, called a halt to construction amidst the implosion of the property market. Morrissey, who runs Wexford Low-Energy Homes, survived the crash and later recommenced building at Ard Uisce.
The homes for sale in the second phase at Ard Uisce come with PV panels as standard, contributing to the properties' A energy rating.
Buyers can choose from a list of options that will enable them to tailor their house to their own tastes, as long as the purchase is made before construction is at the roof stage.
For instance, they can spring for the standard Cedarwood kitchen available at Ard Uisce or choose a €2,000 kitchen allowance instead. They also have a choice between an electric stove and a €300 allowance.
Ard Uisce is 3km from Wexford Town and there is a Gaelscoil 1.5km from the development.
A showhouse is available for viewing by appointment.
