Castle Keep, a development of detached homes that commands views across Dungarvan Bay, is about to launch in the Waterford seaside town, where the Comeragh Mountains meet the Colligan river.
Prices at the high-end development in Abbeyside - a five-minute walk from the town centre - will start at €695,000.
The four-bed two-storey homes are bound to appeal to holidaymakers drawn to local attractions such as Abbeyside and Clonea, the 45km walking and bike trail that makes up the Waterford Greenway and the area's three 18 hole golf courses.
There will be just four traditional style homes in the initial phase at Castle Keep, though the scheme will eventually have 15 properties. Accommodation will span 2,490 sq ft and there will be bespoke interior features such as panelling, fireplaces and staircases, all of which will vary from house to house. The master bedrooms will come with a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite. Outside, there will be cobble-lock driveways, walled gardens and a patio.
Each house was designed to have an A2 BER, courtesy of energy-saving features like triple glazing and an air-to-water plumbing system that heats both the property and your water.
Dungarvan boasts some of the fastest broadband speeds in Ireland, according to the selling agent, which is a boost to would-be home-owners who use the USB ports installed throughout the homes to charge their iPads and other devices.
Castle Keep has direct access to the N25. Travelling east, the drive to Waterford City takes about 35 minutes, while, in the other direction, Cork City is a one hour drive.
