Detached with modern interiors in a commuter town
Gallowhill, Athy, Co Kildare
Published 11/09/2015 | 02:30
The latest phase of eight four-bed detached properties in this small Athy development was designed to appeal to commuters. Gallowhill is on the Dublin side of the Co Kildare heritage town and is located just six miles from Exit 3 on the M9 motorway.
The estate already consists of 45 detached four-bed homes and 15 townhouses, which are finished with a mixture of brick, tinted plaster, double-glazed windows, and the Munster Joinery Prestige range of timber. Each house has a cobbled driveway out front for parking. Prices for the most recent phase will start at €220,000.
The interior features will include a stove, extensive tiling, cream shaker-style painted kitchens, floor coverages, and wardrobes in all of the four bedrooms. There is a choice of two different layouts.
The type A homes come with two living rooms and two ensuite bathrooms and, at 1875 sq ft, are larger than the 1,453 sq ft type B properties, which have a large open-plan kitchen and dining area with double doors leading to the back garden.
The kitchens in the type A houses are laid out differently, with two sets of double doors opening onto the rear garden, offering prospective buyers the possibility to add a sunroom at a later stage. Gallowhill is within walking distance of the train station at Athy, which is located on the river Barrow and the Grand Canal. Dublin is just a 38-mile journey away.
Open viewings of the showhouse, at number 23 Gallowhill, will be held on September 20 and 27, between 3pm and 5pm.
