Oldgrange Wood, a new 16-house development on the northern edge of the historic town of Monasterevin, is designed to appeal to young families on a budget, with asking prices for the three-bed semi-detached homes starting at just €189,000.
Monasterevin originated from a monastery built on the River Barrow in the sixth century by St Evin. But it became a booming commuter town after the 2004 opening of the M7 motorway, allowing its residents to drive the 39 miles to Dublin in no time. Oldgrange Wood is just two miles from junction 14 on the M7, which goes from Dublin to Limerick.
The town also has regular train services to both Limerick and Heuston stations.
The properties at Oldgrange Wood comprise a kitchen-cum-dining area with French double doors opening out on to the garden, a sitting room with wooden floors and feature bay window, a guest WC, a master ensuite and two other bedrooms, and a family bathroom. There are porcelain tiled floors in the dining room, the hall and the guest toilet. A Stira staircase leads to an attic that is floored, plastered and has a skylight window.
Viewing is by appointment only.
