DNG has just released 14 more homes at Elder Heath, a development of three and four-bed terraced, semi-detached and detached homes at the foothills of the Dublin Mountains.
The tranche will comprise a new row of houses released as part of the 25-unit third phase at the development and will be known as Elder Heath View. Completions are scheduled for between February and July.
The first homes built at Elder Heath, located off the Kiltipper Road near Tallaght, were quietly placed on the market in October 2014, before the development's official launch in February 2015. Some 45 houses have already been sold and occupied since then, with sales on a further 15 about to close.
Many of the buyers to date have traded up from apartments in areas such as Sandyford and Stepaside, and some purchasers have downsized from suburbs such as Rathfarnham, Ballinteer, and Knocklyon.
The houses are the same design as the earlier phases. The 1,163 sq ft three-bed semis, which account for most of the houses at the development, have proved the most popular with purchasers. Type C, as the three-beds are known, have extra-large windows at the front, designed to fill the living room with more light. There is a wall-mounted fireplace and double doors leading to the shaker style kitchen/dining area. There are two bedrooms, one master ensuite and a bathroom upstairs.
The façades are a mix of red and yellow-brick fronts and cream render exteriors, with grey uPVC windows and pitched roofs. The driveways are cobbled in the same colour brickwork, and timber side gates lead to seeded rear gardens.
PV solar panels, an A-rated gas condensing boiler for the central heating system and high-performance windows contribute to the houses' A3 energy rating.
Prices for the three-beds start at €275,000, with the four-beds starting at €315,000 for the semi-detached version and €335,000 for the detached style.
