Top eye doctors head for Dublin
Some of the world's leading eye doctors and researchers will be speaking at a public meeting in Dublin next month.
Experts include Dr David Gamm (pictured), University of Wisconsin, who created retina cells in a laboratory dish from stem cells generated from a person's skin.
As part of a conference organised by Fighting Blindness, there will be advice on a range of eye conditions, including age-related vision loss and diabetes-related vision loss.
The public engagement day takes place at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Golden Lane, on Saturday, November 12 from 10am to 4.30pm.To secure a place, visit www.retina.ie. Attendance is free to Fighting Blindness members and €10 for non-members.
