A MENTAL health lobby group in Clare is seeking the intervention of the UN Human Rights' Council to address alleged injustices affecting psychiatric patients and their relatives.
Citing three Clare cases and one in Dublin , Support Link is seeking radical changes in the legislation, accusing the Health Services Executives (HSE) of acting outside the law.
It said relatives have been barred from visiting their loved ones when they asked questions about their care and is lobbying for new legislation to protect patients and relatives from breaches of their human rights.
