If you’re feeling your New Year’s motivation slipping as mid-January hits, a new move by budget supermarket Lidl might help you stick to those pesky resolutions.
Capitalising on the popularity on the Nutribullet among the health conscious, the supermarket has created its own version of the ‘superfood extractor’ which comes at a fraction of the price.
The ‘Nutrition Mixer’ bears a striking resemblance to the trendy Nutribullet and markets itself as a handy kitchen tool, which may help those on a mission to soup and juice to their hearts content beyond January.
The Nutribullet, which retails at about €120, is a favourite of the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton who is said to use innovative gadget to maintain her svelte figure.
The pulverising gadget was one of the most popular electronic purchases in Ireland during Christmas 2014 and sold out in Argos, Currys, Littlewoods, Currys and Harvey Norman prior to the festive season.
UK department store John Lewis reported that a Nutribullet had been sold every 30 seconds ahead of Christmas.
Meanwhile those hoping to put Lidl’s Nutrition Mixer to the text will find it in stores throughout the country today for €39.99.
