Anti-chaffing and natural healing creams come in various forms on the market and the Sports Balm by Pure Athlete features a good blend of organic and natural products.
If you are doing some open water swimming, cycling or simply running the marathon this product is perfect to use while training and racing to stop chaffing.
The use of shea butter oil, mixed oils and rosemary extract are also perfect for repairing cracked or dry skin. And most of all it won't age your sports gear by being non-toxic to elastics and neoprene.
HIT: An all-purpose recovery, repair and anti-chaffing cream.
UP ITB Strap
If you have ever experienced Iliotibial Band (ITB) soreness at the side of your knee, then its best to seek advice from a medical professional. However, if it's something you want to treat at home then this useful strap is designed to sit right over the most common area of soreness and provide some support.
The velcro strap enables you to wrap to your chosen compression. The neoprene construction holds the band in place while being elastic enough to allow for a relatively natural range of movement.
PROS: Adjustable and comfortable.
CONS: Helps with soreness, but also requires further therapy if your injured.
VERDICT: Moderate level of support for ITB soreness.
Crivit Sports Exercise Ball
This universal exercise ball is made with soft rubber which is inflated by the supplied pump. Some therapists recommend the use of an exercise ball to sit on to help with back problems, and for anyone who is expecting a baby the exercise ball is a great addition to make life a bit more comfortable. Available in Lidl stores from September 4 while stocks last.
CONS: It takes a long time to inflate the ball with the supplied pump.
VERDICT: Great value for money, very versatile exercise ball - fit hit.
