Bressie joined Brent Pope and Roz Purcell to launch a unique 5 k run where runners get doused in paint
Rainbow Runs are the latest trend for 5 k runners, with the first in Ireland announced for the summer.
Bressie, Roz Purcell, and Brent Pope today helped launch a 5 k run with a difference – where competitors get doused in paint powder as they run the route.
The Run A Rainbow charity run is the first of its kind to be held in Ireland, and is open to everyone, including families, who are invited to jog or walk the route in Dun Laoighre, while getting bombarded with paint.
Rainbow runs have grown in popularity all over the world, with people raising money for charity.
Everyone taking part is asked to come along in shiny white tees, and get covered in every colour of the rainbow as they compete the 5 k route.
“At intervals along the route you will be bombarded with different colours, until you cross the finish line to a further riot of colour in the powder shower” explains organiser Dave Foran.
A percentage of profits will go to LARCC, the Lakelands Area Retreat and Cancer Care Centre in Co Westmeath. Nominated by Bressie , LARCC offers support to people living with cancer.
The Rainbow Run takes place on Sunday July 28th at 12pm on Dun Laoghaire’s west pier in County Dublin.
