"I've always loved getting around on two wheels. Over the past few years, I've cycled and raced all over the country including Galway, Donegal and Mayo. Participating in the Gaelforce West challenges was a superb way to see some of the best scenery that Western Ireland has to offer.
"I'm gearing up to take part in the 60km Pro Helly Hanson Killarney Adventure race in October with Ireland AM presenter Sinead Desmond, which includes a 41km cycle through the Kingdom, taking in the Gap of Dunloe, the Black Valley and the Lakes of Killarney.
"I live next door to the Phoenix Park and my weekly Sunday cycle is a great way to relax and unwind, whilst taking in nature at its very finest.
"I'm a fitness fanatic. I'm a triathlete and adventure racer, so cycling always makes up a sizeable chunk of my races.
"Cycling is a great and simple way to ease the stresses and strains of modern life - it's just you and your bike and the freedom of the open road.
"Since the launch of the Dublin bike scheme, the city's cycling senses have most certainly re-awoken. Some of the cycle paths do need to be improved, but overall it's a great success.
"As a weatherman, I love nothing better than heading out and braving the elements. "When I'm racing and competing around the country, you just have to put the head down and get on with it. I love cycling around Glendalough in Co Wicklow. "
