Celebratory night for dementia

People with dementia still have a lot to contribute and should not be kept in the shadows.
That's the uplifting message from a celebratory evening of spoken word and song which takes place in Dublin next Monday.
It features talks from people living with dementia as well as musical entertainment.
The event, which is organised by the Alzheimer's Society of Ireland, takes place between 7pm and 9pm at the Sugar Club in Leeson St in Dublin on October 17.
It is estimated that there are over 35,000 people with dementia in Ireland. With the population ageing, however, this means that this figure will increase significantly over the next 20 years.
