Global village: Olivia hangs out in Hawaii
Published 01/02/2016 | 02:30
Actress Olivia Wilde recently enjoyed a holiday in Hawaii with her hubby, Jason Sudeikis, star of the movie Horrible Bosses, and their toddler son Otis.
Tourism is the major industry in Hawaii, and the warm welcome for which the islands are famous has been called the aloha spirit. In fact, the aloha spirit is considered a state law, and is contained in the Hawaii Revised Statutes.
Its main purpose is to serve as a reminder to government officials that while they perform their duties, they must treat people with deep care and respect, just like their ancestors did.
Hawaii is also famous for having some of the best surfing, boogie boarding and windsurfing spots in the world. The waters have reef fish, green sea turtles, Hawaiian monk seals, and even a few sharks.
You can also choose the colour of your beach. There are white, yellow, black and red sandy ones. www.gohawaii.about.com
Keeping lingerie safely under wraps
Fine lingerie and overstuffed suitcases don't mix. Yet you can now stop worrying about arriving at your destination only to discover your finest pieces of upholstery have been bent out of shape, or have twisted bra wires.
Jacky's Travel Bra Cases are designed to ensure your bras keep their shape and their delicate details while on the road.
And when you consider the price of your average fancy bra, it's a very good thing.
You can also find a bra case which matches your personality from the large selection of case designs, many of which have fun and funky designs.
The cases work for daytime bras as well as your more intricate night-time ones, or even swimwear. A case can hold up to six bras.
A bra case costs approximately €32. www.jackyscollection.com

Signs you are a good traveller
Signs that you are a good traveller according to The Huffington Post include being able to go with the flow, whether it's a flight delay or a noisy hotel neighbour. You learn a few words of the local language, and travel with some basic medical supplies.
Unlike Steve Martin (above) in Planes, Trains and Automobiles, you don't sweat the small stuff. You ask for directions, and engage in conversation with the locals. You travel with a water bottle as it saves money.
You pack light, and stick to one colour palette so that all your clothes can be worn at any time. You only bring walkable shoes. You respect local customs, and if you're not used to eating with only your right hand, you give it a shot. www.huffingtonpost.com
