The 30-second trick that makes cheap wine taste expensive

Wine lovers, rejoice!

If you love wine, but don't love splashing the cash on an expensive bottle, this hack is for you.

All you need is a blender to transform a €5 bottle (that already tastes pretty good, let's not deny it) into a bottle you could convince your friends is from the most expensive vineyard in France.

The process is pretty simple: Pour the wine into a blender, blitz for 30 seconds and voilà!

Vineyard owner Marcy Roth told Good Morning America that the blender acts as a quick decanter and aerates the wine, improving the overall taste and flavour.

"Decanting was traditionally done to separate the settlements from the wine so you wouldn’t end up with hunks of grape skin in your class or your teeth," she said.

"[But] it also opens up the wine and aerates it, allowing more of the flavour and aromas to come forth and to show their most finessed polish side."

There's no harm in trying, right?
