Artist Jennie Moran, the person behind the exceptional new cafe Luncheonette at the National College of Art and Design in Thomas Street, Dublin 8, will change the way you think about student canteens forever.
She says she loves the way food changes how people spend time in a place, and she uses it as a decoy to create a magnificent atmosphere at the college.
And then there's the food itself. Some recent examples: beetroot burgers with avocado, pickled cucumbers and tomato (€4), very, very slow roasted pulled pork brioche with apple sauce (€4) and scrumptious cakes from €1.50 to €2.
