Warre’s Otima 10-year-old Tawny

Chianti Gineprone 2007
A touch of class at great value from Italy’s famous Col d’Orcia house. Smooth and slightly smoky, combining cherries and plums with Sangiovese notes. Mediumbodied, and even with 14pc alc, showing great restraint. Elisabeth’s choice with the Milleens, but it wouldn't survive in my house until the cheese is served. €14.95 Available from Sheridans, Galway and Dublin; John R’s, Listowel; Vanilla Pod, Killarney; Lettercollum Kitchen Project, Clonakilty; Rua, Castlebar; Vanilla Grape, Kenmare; Mitchell & Son, Dublin CHQ & Glasthule; Marlay Wine Shop, Rathfarnham.
