Yes please! Cadbury announce new flavour to rival the Creme Egg this Easter
January can be a torturous time of strict diets and gym punishment, but the latest news from Cadbury might make you look forward to the month’s end that little bit more.
The chocolate company has announced that they are to introduce an Oreo-flavoured confection set to hit Irish supermarket shelves later this month.
Those digging into the new Egg’n’Spoon treat can expect to find a light creamy filling to mimic that of the famous American biscuit, which will be speckled with Oreo crumbs.
Speaking of the treat, a spokesperson said: “As part of our Easter range this year we have launched new Cadbury Dairy Milk Egg ‘n’ Spoon Oreo, which will be available alongside our existing Oreo Easter products.”
Cadbury has come under fire in recent years for altering the recipe and size of the classic Creme Egg treat.
In 2015, the company announced it was to replace the velvety smooth Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate on the eggs with a standard traditional Cadbury milk chocolate with 6pc less cocoa, a decision which received a mixed reaction.
