WE'RE renowned as a nation of tea drinkers.

But one of the best coffee shops in the world can be found in Dublin.

Quietly nestled on Lower Grand Canal Street, 3FE – 3rd Floor Espresso – is a hive of all things coffee.

Taking the number 15 slot on a list of the "25 coffee shops around the world you have to see before you die", the establishment fits between Addison and Steel in Perth, Australia, and Forty Ninth Parallel in Vancouver, Canada.

Website BuzzFeed awarded the accolade because "3FE's service is so wonderful that you will not want to get out of your seat – unless it's to order more coffee".

3FE operations manager Vania Poon said the company is delighted they made the list and said their focus on enhancing the customer's experience sets them apart in the coffee community.

"We are very focused on the customer and talking them through the experience and telling them about the beans and where they are farmed," said Ms Poon, originally from Calgary, Alberta in Canada.
