Those lucky enough to have nabbed a ticket to sold out EP 2015 don’t just have a weekend of music to look forward to as the festival’s annual Theatre of Food looks set to thrill revellers with a bursting line-up of notable Irish food lovers.

The Theatre of Food has become a regular addition to the Stradbally festival in recent years offering Picnic-ers the opportunity to indulge their gluttony with some of the best chefs, food writers, and producers in the country.

This year, festival-goers can look forward to an abundance of demonstrations from the likes of Domini and Peaches Kemp and Wicklow twins David and Stephen Flynn who head up The Happy Pear in Greystones.

Hangovers throughout the weekend can perhaps be eased by a mouth-watering line-up of top chefs such as Paul Flynn, JP McMahon and Kevin Thornton, all set to demonstrate for the crowds at Ireland’s most beloved festival.

Those seeking another cure in the form of a bevvie or two will not be disappointed either, with craft beer talks and tastings from the Brown Paper Bag Project and mixology and whiskey classes from Oisin Davis during the festival.

There’s even talks of a Bloody Mary Bar on site, which will be music to the ears of anyone with a banging head ache.

Speaking of the festival David and Stephen Flynn said: "Irish festival-goers love great food and the Theatre of Food will be this year's Electric Picnic festival destination for anyone interested in eating well and feeling great.

“We're really looking forward to sharing our passion for super tasty wholefoods and tips on how to achieve a healthier and happier lifestyle."

The Theatre of Food will be only a stone’s throw away from the hub of the Main Stage in the Minefield area of the festival.

Curator of the event Sally McKenna of the McKenna Guides said “Theatre of Food at Electric Picnic has become a great melting pot and meeting place for the most talented people in Irish food.

"It is always a great privilege to bring together the best chefs, artisans and food professionals to work towards putting on a spectacular food event in such an enjoyable setting.”
