Brunch will never be the same again.

It's far from avocados we were raised but in the past few years it's become the ultimate brunch staple.

But the avocado comes with many problems.

The most frustrating one of all is trying to scoop out the meat into Instagram-perfect slices without making a mushy mess of it.

It's a tricky art to master and not something you want to dedicate too much time to when you're standing in your kitchen on a Saturday morning, bleary-eyed and 'hangry'.

But it turns out there's a simple hack for getting it right: slice the fruit before you peel the skin away.

Sarah Jampel of Foopd52 claims this is the perfect hack to get neat, thin slices from your avocado.

She suggests cutting the fruit in half, placing it flesh side down on a chopping board and then slicing it gently and thinly while the skin is still intact.

As soon as you have your slices, you just need to gently peel off each individual piece of avocado and then arrange on your plate or toast.

Brunch game changed forever.
