Superiority burger: Named the best in the world but it's missing one vital ingredient...

A New York burger has been christened the best on earth even though it is missing one typical ingredient... meat!
Style bible GQ magazine has controversially named the vegetarian burger from Superiority Burger in the city’s East Village as the world’s best despite the complete absence of a meaty grilled patty.
“Maybe the best thing about N.Y.C. chef Brooks Headley’s raved-about Superiority Burger—better even than the nutty patty, the roasted umami-bomb tomato, the fact that no cows were harmed in the creation of this sandwich—is the texture,” the magazine writes.
“The bun squishes. The lettuce crunches. The pickles snap.”
Chef Brooks Headley, creator of the much raved about burger, is keeping the recipe a closely guarded secret.
Speaking to The Wall Street Journal Headley said: "I don’t need something indistinguishable from meat in order to feel like I’m eating a hamburger.”
The New York burger joint has become a meeting place for burger connoisseurs and an Instagram hit since receiving recognition from the leading publications.
Finally hit up #vegetarian and #vegan-friendly #burger joint: #SUPERIORITYBURGER. Carnivore + veggie-head APPROVED here is our sandwich verdicts: absolutely LOVED the vegan superiority burger (WARNING: bite-sized) but my FAVORITE was the superiority WRAP - filled with brown rice, tofu, cabbage, and sunflower crunch feel free to skip out on the sloppy dave (tomato and tofu based filling topped with frizzled onions). #eeeeeats #foodie #foodporn #instafood #eastvillage #nyceats #nycrestaurants
