Dublin’s dessert heaven Aungier Danger has launched a seasonal treat just in time for this week’s expected sunny skies- a 99 with a deep-fried doughnut cone.

The much-loved bakery, with shops both north and south of the River Liffey, debuted the Danger Cone earlier today which is set to thrill the masses.

The treat is made up of a red doughnut cone, which hardcore Aungier Danger lovers will recognised as the Crime Scene reincarnated, filled with rich Belgian white chocolate ice-cream.

The dessert is finished with sweet strawberry sauce and crumbs of red velvet.

The Danger Cone will be available in Aungier Street tomorrow.

The new bakery, which is yet to celebrate its first birthday, drew huge queues in the months following its opening as crowds of Dubliners queued for their sweet fixes ahead of work. The business has now established itself in one of Ireland's biggest department stores, Arnotts.

Speaking to The Irish Independent earlier this year, owner Phil Costello said: "When we opened it was a chef, myself and a barista. It was supposed to be just a small doughnut shop on Aungier Street, I didn't think it would get this big.”
