Bread and Bones, near Dublin’s Jervis Street, will celebrate “red-haired icon” Ed this weekend by offering gingers 20pc off their meals.

“We’re huge fans of Ed Sheeran down here and we thought we might as well do something for all the gingers in Dublin,” said Jack Fox, co-owner of Bread and Bones.

“Ed is a red-haired icon and a leader,” he said.

“So we’re offering all red-heads the chance to come down and enjoy 20pc off in Bread and Bones.”

The restaurateur revealed that the establishment has been jam-packed with gingers, and those claiming to be red-heads, this afternoon.

“Loads of people have been in for lunch, some claiming to be red heads. We’ve given everyone the benefit of the doubt though,” said Jack.

Sheeran will take to the stage in Croke Park later tonight in the first of two gigs which will finish off his world tour.
