Flat white sales in Dublin’s 3fe might just get a bit of a boost after being included in list of the world’s best coffee shops.

The Grand Canal street cafe was listed 15th in a Buzzfeed article titled ’25 coffee shops you need to see before you die.’

The cafe is ranked amongst other world renowned coffee hubs including Kaffine in London, Cafe Grumpy in New York and The Coffee Academics in Hong Kong.

“3FE’s service is so wonderful that you will not want to get out of your seat — unless it’s to order more coffee,” the article boasted.

“The vibes are so peaceful and calm that you’ll get lost watching the baristas prepare coffee.”

Owner of 3fe Colin Harmon said that inclusion in such lists is always good news for Irish business.

“We’ve managed to make it onto a few international lists over the years, mostly thanks to the various baristas we’ve had compete at the World Barista Championships.

“We have quite a high profile internationally as a result but most of the coffee drinking public in Ireland have never heard of us so lists like this are great for business," he said.

3fe is known for its huge focus on taste, sourcing and roasting beans that are of the highest quality and in season.

The coffee entrepreneur said that the hard working staff behind stellar cafes are often overlooked.

“It’s so nice that the article made reference to the staff in 3fe because they all put a huge emphasis on service and making sure customers feel welcome at the shop,” he said.

While glad to take the 15th spot on the coffee must-sips, Colin said there are many other Dublin based caffeine haunts that deserved a mention.

“There were of course many excellent shops left off the list and places like The Fumbally, Brother Hubbard and Vice are doing wonders for the coffee culture here in Dublin,” he finished.
