Caroline Wozniacki shows Rory McIlroy what he's missing - home made pizza
The fastest way to a man's heart might be through his stomach, so Rory McIlroy better look away now.
The former fiancée of the world number two golf star tried her hand at making an authentic Italian stone baked pizza yesterday in a restaurant in Eastbourne in the UK, where she is competing in a tennis tournament.
Creating an authentic ham and mushroom pizza from scratch, the tennis star even used her racquet skills to perfect the traditional art of tossing the dough. Italian chefs believe that tossing the dough creates a texture and flavor very different from a rolled dough.
The sports stars were said to have enjoyed the occasional splurge on junk food during their time together, and in 2012, they had a private wager to see which one of them could stay away from unhealthy food the longest. Wozniacki admitted her vice was sweets, while McIlroy was said to be partial to salty snacks, crisps and popcorn.
McIlroy is known to enjoy pizza, with a photo of him eating a pizza with a knife and fork shared on Twitter with much hilarity in the past.
Since McIlroy announced their split last month, he has taken a breather from social media, switching off his phone and curbing his tweets. He broke his curfew yesterday to post a selfie of himself with his dad to wish him a happy Father's Day.
Caroline however has increased her presence on Twitter since she was told the relationship was over, and has posted a series of photographs to show Rory McIlroy just how okay she is, after he ended the engagement in aphone call.
After her stint in the pizza restaurant she posted a photo and tweeted: "Cooked my own pizza! First time for everything! #upintheair #newjob."
The tennis ace has kept up a busy social life in the past month, partying with pal Serena Williams in Paris and on a beach in Miami, and last week posted a photo from a night out with Hollywood actress Hayden Panettiere and her fiancé Wladimir Klitschko.
