Piers Morgan

Piers owns a swanky gastropub in London called The Hansom Cab.

It’s popular with a lot of people. Unlike its owner. We’re not suggesting he has fallen out with everyone. But Google started crying when we ran an internet search  for “Piers Morgan Twitter spat”.

A gastropub is a boozer that serves high-quality restaurant food. Unless you’re in Ireland, where it’s a pub that puts organic Cheddar in the toasted special and keeps the purple Snacks hidden under the bar. Posh weather.

Ryan Giggs

Giggsy is supplementing his football income with a swanky new restaurant in Manchester.

He knows  better than  most that it’s  a good idea to have something on the side. Says you. He was originally going to pitch the restaurant at Manchester’s chic young sophisticates. Until he realised there aren’t any. Ryan was the only Man United player to hang up his boots this May. The rest of his teammates stopped playing soccer ages ago.

Robert de Niro

He loves owning restaurants. That’s handy, because a lot  of people reckon that he has  given up the acting. At least anyone who  has seen one  of his recent movies. His Tribeca  Grill in Manhattan, New York City,  is very popular with actors taking  a break from work. They are  also known as waiters. If you see  De Niro in there, walk over and ask him to say, “You lookin’ at me?” Seriously, he loves that.

Bono and the Edge

Do you remember back when the Tea Room was in the Clarence Hotel? It was a great old place if you wanted to spot a local celebrity. Or at least to think you had spotted one, if you can’t tell the difference between Bono and Gavin Friday. In fairness, most Irish people have met Bono at some stage in their lives. Our reaction is nearly always the same whenever we bump into him. We look down towards our knees and say, “Jesus, what was that?” Bono. He’s fierce small.

Kim Kardashian

Life-Kim-Kardashian.jpg

Apparently, Kanye West gave Kim 10 Burger King restaurants as a wedding present. We’re not sure if that’s true. It could be a giant Whopper. (Ah, stop.) But enough about Kim’s ass. (Seriously, stop.) To make sure Kim had never got  a wedding present like that before, Kanye sent out a team of detectives to interview her ex-husbands. Or, put another way, he had her old flames grilled. OK, that’s a bit of a stretch. But enough about Kim’s bikini.

Ryan Gosling

Just when you thought Ryan Gosling couldn’t become anymore desirable it turns out that he’s a pretty savvy business man just to add the cherry on top. The heart throb fell hard for chef Ben Benameur’s stunning Moroccan food before he rose to the A-list and joined forces with him to create the celeb haunt Tagine in Beverly Hills. Siting Ben’s dishes as “food I could eat for the rest of my life,” it might be worth making a reservation in the hopes of clasping eyes upon Gosling’s dishy self.

Lady Gaga

In 2012, Lady Gaga thought it might be the right time to get into the restaurant business, pairing up with her old lad to open Italian restaurant Joanne Trattoria in Manhattan. While Gaga claimed that the food was top notch (and why wouldn’t she?) critics weren’t so kind. Later in 2013, it was reported that mice had infested the Germanotta family business, running around the tables. It’s still open but it might just be one to skip.
